Studio Arts Boulder is a non-profit art education organization that provides high-quality ceramics programs at the Boulder Pottery Lab and partners with other studio arts organizations for programs in other mediums. The “studio arts” are those art forms which require a substantial investment in equipment and facilities that is beyond the means of most individuals, such as ceramics, metalsmithing, glass, printmaking, fiber, and woodworking.

Have your next party at the Pottery Lab!

Studio Arts Boulder offers birthday parties for kids, team-building activities, and adult gatherings at the Pottery Lab!

These parties are a fun way to celebrate events -- bring food, decorate the room, and work together with friends, family, or coworkers to create unique clay pieces. All artwork will be glazed and fired and can be picked up once it's ready!

Did you know...?
The Boulder Pottery Lab was founded in 1954 when master potter Betty Woodman convinced the City of Boulder to open a recreational pottery program. Since then, the Pottery Lab has offered pottery classes to students of all ages in our current building, historic Firestation No. 2. In 2015, Studio Arts Boulder and the Pottery Lab joined forces to transition the Lab from a city-run program to a self-sustaining nonprofit organization. Today, we are working to expand access to the studio arts and continue to serve students of all ages and abilities.
