Studio Arts Boulder is a non-profit art education organization that provides high-quality ceramics programs at the Boulder Pottery Lab and partners with other studio arts organizations for programs in other mediums. The “studio arts” are those art forms which require a substantial investment in equipment and facilities that is beyond the means of most individuals, such as ceramics, printmaking, woodworking, metal, glass, and fiber.

Pottery, Print, & Pizza:
Open House at Studio Arts Boulder
(A Boulder Arts Week and Mo'Print Celebration!)

Join us for an evening of art and play!
Historic Firestation No. 2 will open its doors to anyone that wants to try out the potter's wheel, explore the world of print-making, and enjoy some pizza with other members of the community! Studio Arts Boulder instructors will help you dive into clay -- you can try out the potter's wheel, hand-build some creations, and learn about the ceramic arts.

Flatiron Press founders, Sam Cikauskas and Renate Mairie will be on hand to show and discuss the craft of printmaking.  Lithography, etching, screenprinting, linocut, wood block, letterpress, collagraph and gelatin plate-to-print examples will be on display.  Come ‘talk process’ and see the many creative possibilities that emerge from the multiple mediums available to printmakers.

No previous experience in either art form necessary. We will not be firing clay work.

Cost: Free! (Suggested donation of $5)
Date & Time: March 30th, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: 1010 Aurora Avenue, Boulder, CO 80302
Ages: All ages are welcome to attend! Kids ages 8+ can try the wheel.

Did you know...?
Studio Arts Boulder partners with Attention Homes to provide pottery classes at their drop-in facility, the Source? These classes are offered to youth experiencing homelessness who utilize AH's services. We are currently expanding this partnership to bring classes to their Residential Care Program, Chase House, for adolescents in crisis. You can read more about Attention Homes here: Attention Homes
