Donate Today, Transform Tomorrow: Colorado Gives Day for Capital Expansion

The Power of Colorado Gives Day:

Colorado Gives Day, presented by FirstBank, has become a cornerstone of community support, having raised over $415 million since its inception. This day provides an incredible platform to support causes close to your heart, with more than 3,400 nonprofits gathered in one place, making it easy to find something you're passionate about. This year, mark your calendars for Colorado Gives Day on December 5, 2023, with Early Giving opening on November 1. But here's the exciting part - all donations made between November 1 and December 5 count, and they qualify for amazing prizes and incentives. It gets even better because every donation made during this time is boosted by one of the most substantial Incentive Funds in the country.

How It Works:

The mechanics of Colorado Gives Day are quite fascinating. All nonprofits receive a percentage of the fund equal to the percentage they raise during Colorado Gives Day. In simple terms, if they raise 10%, they get 10% of the Incentive Fund. This means that every dollar you contribute during this time goes further, making your support even more impactful. This year we are harnessing this incredible opportunity to reach our goal of a debt-free Capital Expansion Building!

Why We're Expanding:

Our love for the historic fire station, our current home, runs deep. It's beautiful, charming, and the heart of Studio Arts Boulder. However, it has its limitations. It's our commitment to making arts education accessible and inclusive that's driving us to expand. Here's why:

Growing Demand: Our current space, while full of character, often fills to capacity. With waitlists growing, we have to turn away eager learners.

Accessibility: Our historic building, as much as we adore it, isn't fully ADA-accessible, limiting our ability to serve everyone in the community, including those with mobility issues.

Diverse Art Forms: Our mission is to embrace creative collaboration across a range of studio arts, including ceramics, printmaking, woodworking, glass, metal, and fiber arts. However, our current space limits our capacity to offer diverse programs.

A Vision for a Creative Hub:

Our expanded facility is a vision of a spacious, collaborative learning environment. We see teaching studios where people of all ages and abilities can learn new skills, discover hidden talents, and engage with diverse art forms. We envision a beautiful, artfully-designed building that showcases the best in green building technology. It's more than a building; it's a creative hub that's accessible, inclusive, and engaging.

What Can You Do?

Your support makes it all possible, and we can't wait to welcome you to our expanded home in early 2024.
